The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E was a Federation Sovereign-class starship that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century. It was the sixth Federation starship to bear the name Enterprise.

The Enterprise-E was launched in 2372, on stardate 49827.5 and was, at the time, the most advanced starship in the fleet. It was built at the San Francisco Fleet Yards in the orbit of Earth.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard assumed command shortly after the vessel's christening, just over a year following the destruction of her predecessor. Most of Picard's crew from the USS Enterprise-D were reassigned to the Enterprise-E.

USS Sutherland (NCC-72015) was a Nebula-class Federation starship in service during the 24th century. It was built at the San Francisco Fleet Yards orbiting Earth and completed in 2367, on stardate 44820.5. Her propulsion systems were constructed by the Yoyodyne Division.

It was deployed to serve as part of Captain Jean-Luc Picard's task force used to interdict the supply lines between the Romulan Star Empire and the House of Duras during the Klingon Civil War. For the duration of that mission, the Sutherland was temporarily commanded by Lieutenant Commander Data.

One of the most important starships in interstellar history, Enterprise (NX-01) was the culmination of the NX Project. The NX-01 was the first NX-class starship, launched by the United Earth Starfleet in 2151.

Enterprise established United Earth as a legitimate interstellar power and caused a wholesale revolution in Alpha and Beta Quadrant politics, paving the way for the creation of the Coalition of Planets, and eventually the United Federation of Planets in 2161.

The ship was not as advanced in all areas, however. Unlike the Vulcan ships of its day, it did not possess tractor beams, merely grapplers.

Enterprise had a standard crew complement of 83 Humans, with the addition of a Vulcan and a Denobulan.

USS Defiant NX-74205

The USS Defiant (NX-74205) was one of at least three Federation starships to bear the name, and the prototype of the Defiant-class vessel.

Designed in 2366, the Defiant was the first of what was to be a new class of heavily-armed Federation starship, and later reputed to be one of the most heavily-armed vessels in the entire Alpha Quadrant. Officially designated an escort, although unofficially a warship, the Defiant-class was specifically designed to counter the Borg.

The Defiant was equipped with an ablative armor coating that was designed to disintegrate under enemy fire at a controlled rate. It dissipated the effects of directed energy weapons, decreasing damage to the main hull of the ship and therefore providing an extra layer of defense.

A special amendment to the Treaty of Algeron allowed the Defiant to be fitted with a Romulan cloaking device.

USS Voyager NCC-74656

The USS Voyager (NCC-74656) was an Intrepid-class Federation starship launched in 2371 under the command of Captain Kathryn Janeway. The vessel was noted for completing an unscheduled seven-year journey across the previously unexplored (by the Federation) Delta Quadrant between 2371 and 2378.

With fifteen decks, a length of 343 meters, a crew complement capacity of approximately 160, and weighing in at 700,000 metric tons, Voyager was only about half the size of the Galaxy-class starships introduced in the 2350s.

However, where the Intrepid-class starship lacked in physical size she made up for with technological advancements: Voyager boasted some of the most advanced sensor equipment in the Federation fleet and was capable of reaching a sustainable cruise velocity of warp factor 9.975. She was further equipped with bio-neural circuitry that contained gel-packs with bio-neural cells that organized information more efficiently and sped up response time.

The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) was a Galaxy-class starship commissioned in 2363, the fifth Federation ship to bear the name Enterprise. She was called the Flagship of the Federation. The Enterprise-D was destroyed in 2371.

With a total of 42 decks, the USS Enterprise-D was twice the length and had eight times the interior space of the Constitution-class ships of over a century earlier; she carried a combined crew and passenger load of 1014.

The Enterprise-D carried twelve phaser arrays, three torpedo launchers, a supply of 250 photon torpedoes, and a high-capacity shield grid which could operate on multiple frequencies.
